When you hear breaking news you usually are prepared for something profound and time sensitive. Not on MSNBC though. Rep. Jane Harman, Democrat of California was a guest on the show to talk about the NSA intruding on our privacy, when she was interrupted with the breaking news of Justin Bieber's arrest. When the story broke Andrea Mitchell, a news anchor, interrupted with "Congresswoman, let me interrupt you just for a moment, we have some breaking news from Miami"
Priorities all out of wack!
All they needed was Kanye to pop out "Excuse me Congresswoman I'm gonna let you finish but...."

Faith Evans Speaks in Biggie's Murder Investigation

It's never easy to lose a lived one, especially if it's someone as high profile as the Notorious B.I.G aka Biggie Smalls. Faith Evans is still looking for closure for her former husband's murder. Recently on the Arsenio Hall show she discussed the LAPD'S investigation of the murder.

"In a recent interview on "The Arsenio Hall Show," Biggie'swidow, Faith Evans, addressed the matter."We just basically stopped spending our money on trying to hope that the LAPD was gonna do their part," said Evans. "So it's not closed, it's just a matter of when they really feel they wanna do the right thing, because we, in our hearts, feel we know what happened, and we believe they know what happened."Evans suggested that the LAPD was reluctant to provide significant information on the murder because they would be subject to massive lawsuits. "We'll probably be the biggest case in the city history. They don't feel good about possibly having to write a check that big. But for us, it's not about that. We spent millions of dollars on lawyers' fees. We've never gotten anything from it. It's more about trying to do what's right. For his son, for his family, for his loved ones, and for his kids. We've definitely gotten to a point where we realize that it's possible that they might never happen, and that's really sad."

And it really is. It seems that Faith thinks the LAPD is holding back on the investigation which is popular opinion. There have been many theories on the murder of both Biggie and Tupac but no leads and suspects currently.

Blue Ivy Gets the Jungle for Her Birthday

Jay Z and Beyonce gave a whole new meaning to jungle gym for Blue Ivy's birthday by renting out a Jungle Island, a wildlife park and botanical garden in Miami. Nobody knows what the cost was but a regular tour is $240 per person. Beyonce also kicked off Baby Blue's bday by posting a collage of all the cards her fans sent Blue...awwww.

Dear Gabby: An Open Letter to Gabrielle Union

Dear Gabby,
I affectionately call you Gabby because like most women my age I have grown up watching your movies and relate to you like sister/cousin/aunt/homegirl. You always played the role of the strong black woman and we LOVE that about you.
Recently you made a decision that most women do by going back to a man who cheated AND fathered a baby outside of your relationship.  I never judged you though, after all we are all human. But recently I have been reading that you blame yourself for his infidelity and I just CAN'T.
Do you know what you just did? You just made every young woman feel as if she can't have a man if she has a career and vice versa. In the days of our Olivia Pope', Michelle Obama, and even Mary Jane's you slandered the idea that success for black women includes a happy home.
By your actions you say to me that if I am a hard working woman that I deserve to be cheated on, that it is expected.

Rihanna Reppin' Balmain

Is it just me or is Balmain even more sexy since they signed with Rihanna? This girl gives so much fashion in everything that she does. She is edgy and sexy and just what the brand needs to take them to the top.
She was spotted earlier in 2013 sporting the Balmain military denim jacket which I loved, and now the brand has announced that they designed the line around the pop star.
I must admit I'm excited to see what they have to offer this season.
