Beyonce has mastered the element of surprise. When the world least expected the Queen dropped her self titled album Beyonce....and well we all know it's AMAZING. And groundbreaking.
There were no announcement, no leaks, no promo. The album was released on Friday the 13th at midnight.
"I didn't want to release my music the way I've done it," says Beyonce in a message to USA Today "I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There's so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn't want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it's ready and from me to my fans."
I must admit I stayed up until 5 am downloading it. My favorite track so far is "Flawless" but I'm digging the "Drunkbin Love" video. She has features from Frank Ocean, Drake, and Jay Z. Overall there are 14 songs and 17 videos to indulge in.
The only downfall is that you have to download it from iTunes, but it is so worth the headache.
